Commercial Overhead Door Off Track Repair
A door comes off track when it is hit, when a cable fails or when rollers and track wear out. An off-track door can fall, so it needs to be handled carefully. We reset the door and repair what caused it.

Common causes
- A forklift, truck or trailer hit the door or track
- A broken cable or spring let one side drop
- Bent, loose or worn-out track
- Worn or broken rollers
- The opener kept pushing after the door jammed
What we do
- Secure the door before working on it
- Put the rollers back in the track and set the door level
- Straighten or replace bent track sections
- Replace damaged rollers, hinges and brackets
- Check cables, springs and the opener's settings

Off-Track Repair questions
Can I push the door back into the track?
Please do not. An off-track door can be under spring tension and can fall. Call or text us.
How do I stop doors from being hit?
Bollards, track guards and a clear stop line help. Making sure the door fully opens before trucks pass under it helps too.
Will a door that was hit need to be replaced?
Not always. Many hits only bend the track or one or two sections. We will tell you what can be repaired.
