Commercial Overhead Door Cable Repair
Lift cables carry the weight of the door from the springs. When a cable frays, snaps or comes off its drum, the door hangs crooked or will not move. We replace cables and get the door back in balance.

Signs of a cable problem
- One side of the door is lower than the other
- A cable is hanging loose or has come off the drum
- Frayed or rusted strands near the bottom bracket
- The door jerked, dropped or jammed while moving
What we do
- Replace both lift cables so they match
- Reset the cables on the drums and level the door
- Check the springs, drums and bottom brackets
- Check the track for damage from the door hanging crooked
- Test the door by hand and with the opener

Cable Repair questions
Why did my cable come off?
Common causes are a broken spring, a door that hit something on the way down, worn bottom brackets or a cable that has stretched. We find the cause so it does not happen again.
Can I keep using the door with one cable?
No. The door can fall or twist in the track. Leave it where it is and call or text us.
Do you replace both cables?
Yes. Cables wear at the same rate, and matched cables keep the door level.
