Commercial door openers
Commercial Door Safety Sensor Repair
Safety sensors stop a closing door from hitting people or vehicles. When they are dirty, out of line or damaged, the door may reverse, stop or only close while the button is held. Sensor problems are one of the most common reasons a door will not close.

Signs of a sensor problem
- Door goes down, then reverses
- Door only closes while the button is held down
- Sensor lights are off or blinking
- Sensors were bumped or the brackets are bent
What we do
- Clean and realign the sensors
- Check the wiring for damage
- Replace damaged sensors and brackets
- Test that the door reverses when the beam is blocked
- Check the opener's force setting
Never bypass sensors
Disabling safety devices puts people and vehicles at risk. We will get them working the right way.
Quick check
Wipe the lenses and make sure nothing is in the doorway. If the door still will not close, call or text us.

Safety Sensors questions
Why do sensors go out of line?
They get bumped by carts, pallets and vehicles, and brackets loosen over time.
Can sunlight affect sensors?
Yes. Direct sun shining into a sensor can sometimes cause problems. We can help with placement.
Do you replace edge sensors too?
Yes. We service the safety devices used on commercial openers, including photo eyes and door edges.
